SPEAKER: Lori-Ann Rickard
Lori-Ann Rickard founded Rickard & Associates in 2000 after years as a partner at a large Detroit law firm, and working in-house as corporate counsel for the St. John Health System.
Ms. Rickard is an accomplished litigator and experienced corporate attorney, and a recognized leader in healthcare law. Her clients range from national healthcare systems, ambulance companies and medical vendors to all types of physicians and medical billers. She is a Certified Professional Coder herself.
Ms. Rickard has published several books and authored or co-authored numerous articles on healthcare matters. She is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association, State Bar of Michigan Health Law Section, American Bar Association, National Academy of Ambulance Coding, and the American Academy of Professional Coders. She has also been certified by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Probate and Estate Planning.
This presentation will discuss the current state of compliance and HIPAA, potential changes, and what billers should be on the lookout for throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and after.
