ICD-10 Updates

Speaker:  Marisa Elliott, CPC, CDEO, CHONC, RH-CBS, AAPC Fellow

Marisa Elliott offers a range of expertise in professional service revenue cycle management, coding, auditing and education.  She has spent the past eighteen years working in a variety of settings as both a coder and manager, and her experience includes working with a multitude of specialties, including tribal health.  Having worked in all aspects of the revenue cycle, Marisa is able to provide a holistic approach to project management.  Her extensive knowledge within coding and compliance in the revenue cycle comes from years as a coder and educator.

Every October 1st, the new ICD-10-CM codes become effective.  In the 2020 edition of ICD-10-CM, there will be over 250 code changes that will impact diagnosis coding in almost every chapter of ICD-10-CM. Learn more about the rationale and proper application of these changes and be prepared on October 1st, 2019.
