During this presentation we will review common coding errors found during coding compliance reviews, payor reviews, risk adjustment reviews and coder quality reviews.

Some of the common errors include:

Correctly applying the ICD-10 "with/in" guideline and the "and" guideline
Correctly coding combination codes for diabetes, heart failure, renal failure and hypertension
Identifying the correct trimester in pregnancy coding
Stroke sequela coding.

We will also look at free coding resources available to help apply coding rules correctly.
