Welcome to Michigan Medical Billers Association!
Who are we? We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and professional advancement of medical billers, coders, managers, physician office staff related to the HIM field. We pride ourselves on offering a low-cost membership that offers an array of quality benefits for our members.
What do we offer? MMBA members obtain between 18-20 CEUs a year between LIVE webinars, recorded/OnDemand webinars, and in-person meetings. (That generous number is excluding special events, like our Annual MMBA Expo, which hosts about six for a full day event!!)
Our CEUs are accepted and approved by AAPC, AMBA, and AHIMA's 60% per their new recertification rule.
What are we known for? MMBA is constantly organizing educational/networking seminars on hard-to-find information related to revenue cycle management and health information management topics to keep our passionate members up to date on industry hot topics and current issues. We create unique networking events when attendees join our in-person events. Speakers representing third-party payers and experts from various health care fields are often asked to participate in both online and in-person events.
Who joins us? Our membership consists of many diverse professionals from the following HIM areas, but certainly not limited to: medical billers, coders, practice managers, providers, HIM department staff, insurance liaisons, revenue cycle managers, billing companies, business owners, auditors, CDI specialists, compliance officers, and consultants.
