About Us
Welcome to Michigan Medical Billers Association (MMBA). We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and professional advancement of medical billers, coders, managers, physician office staff related to the HIM field. We pride ourselves on offering a low-cost membership that offers an array of quality benefits for our members. We offer our members around 20 CEUs a year between LIVE webinars, recorded/OnDemand webinars, and in-person meetings. (That number is excluding special events like our Annual MMBA Expo, which hosts about six for a full day event! WOW!)
Our CEUs are accepted and approved by AAPC, AMBA, and AHIMA's 60% recertification rule effective 01/01/2025.
MMBA is best known for organizing educational/networking seminars on hard-to-find information related to revenue cycle management and health information management topics to keep our passionate members up to date on industry hot topics and current issues. We create unique networking events when attendees join our in-person events. Speakers representing third-party payers and experts from various health care fields are often asked to participate in both online and in-person events. Each chapter holds a minimum of three educational opportunities a year, which are FREE to members and open to all members regardless of location. Non-Members are also welcome for a nominal fee to cover food costs.

Our membership participants consist of many diverse professionals from the following HIM areas, but certainly not limited to: medical billers, coders, practice managers, providers, HIM department staff, insurance liaisons, revenue cycle managers, billing companies, business owners, auditors, CDI specialists, compliance officers, and consultants.
