Physician Communication
Speaker: Anjennete Kemp D.O.
Dr. Kemp is a distinguished emergency room physician. She is a sought after teaching physician who focuses on provider education, documentation guidelines, and clinical documentation improvement. She teaches residents across the state and holds a seat on the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) coding and nomenclature committee. This distinguished honor helps her to provide direct feedback to lobby regarding requested changes within the Emergency Medicine Specialty.
Dr. Kemp is a member of American College of Emergency Medicine (ACEP), American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP), Michigan College of Emergency Physicians (MCEP), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), St. Mary’s Ascension Trauma Peer Review Committee, St. Mary’s Ascension Hospital Performance/Improvement Committee, St. Mary’s Ascension Physician Performance/Improvement Committee.

Credentialing
Speaker: Lynette Birchmeier, Credentialing Specialist
Lynette has spent the past twenty years working in a variety of settings as both a manager and credentialing coordinator, and her experience includes working with a multitude of specialties and provider types. During the last 5 years her focus has primarily been in the credentialing arena. Her specialized skills have helped create compliance within credentialing and enrollment. Her extensive knowledge has helped to standardize edits within practice management systems and implement strategies that helped turn around credentialing for the entities she represented. Lynette continues to work with various groups providing expertise and education to navigate credentialing.
Credentialing, how to untangle the web. What payors in Michigan are looking for, APP requirements, special considerations for PHO’s, and all the other caveats that effect provider credentialing.
Coding Roundtable
Speaker: Marisa Elliott, CPC, CDEO, CHONC, RH-CBS
Bring your redacted problem claims for a small group review. We will pick one or two depending on time restraints to review as a group.
