Successful Collecting in Healthcare
SPEAKERS: Garret Angelo, JJ Marshall & Associates, Managing Partner
Garret Angelo has been around the collection industry since he was born. His father, John, founded JJ Marshall & Associates in 1976. Garret took an unconventional route in joining the accounts receivable management industry by working for a large diversified healthcare company for 10 years, spending 5 of those years based in Asia and Europe in various healthcare management roles. Garret’s role today involves cultivating and maintaining client relationships, and leading new strategic business development efforts. Garret is an active member of industry accredited associations, currently serving as the President Elect for the Michigan Association of Collection Agencies and as a Board Member to the Michigan Collection Practices Board.
James Rybinski, JJ Marshall & Associates, Director of Business Development
James Rybinski joined JJ Marshall & Associates in 2017 with 30 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle management. James has been employed with three of the largest healthcare systems in Michigan where he was a Regional Director. His strengths are in Denial Management, Collections, Process Improvement, HIPPA Compliance and Staff Development. He has a wealth of experience working both facility and professional receivables. In his role today, James takes a consultative approach with his clients, understanding their needs first and then recommending an appropriate set of solutions to achieve the best outcomes.

As expected, there were significant regulatory changes in the third performance year of the Quality Payment Program (QPP). This presentation will review all of these changes, preparing attendees to successfully participate in 2019 and providing time at the end to ask any relevant QPP questions.
