No-Show Policy for In-Person Meetings
July 1, 2026
At the Michigan Medical Billers Association (MMBA), we greatly value participation in our In-Person Zone Meetings, and we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to cancellations.
To ensure fairness, efficiency, and to mitigate extra costs in our event planning, we have updated the No-Show Policy:

Cancellation Deadline: If you are unable to attend an In-Person Zone Meeting that you have registered for, you may cancel your registration up to seven days prior to the event without consequences.

No-Show Fees: No-Shows are automatically subject to a $25 fee due to the rising cost of food and amenities. (Most in-person locations are pay per person for food, and we must turn in our registration numbers to the venue at least seven days in advance.) This will also set your membership account on a temporary HOLD until this late fee is paid for.

Transfer Option: In addition to cancellation, you have the option to transfer your registration to another member. (Please notify the Admin Assistant of this decision.)

Notification Process: To cancel your registration, or transfer it to another MMBA member, you must notify the MMBA Admin Assistant at 855-360-3401, or via email at info@mmbaoline.org, prior to the event.
We appreciate your support and understanding regarding this updated policy. By adhering to these guidelines, we can better accommodate our attendees, keep overall costs to a minimum, and ensure the success of our In-Person Zone Meetings.
