SPEAKER: Marisa Elliot, CPC, RH-CBS, AAPC Fellow

With over 16 years of healthcare experience, Marisa Elliott shares her knowledge of professional coding and billing, healthcare compliance and revenue cycle management.  Marisa is an experienced medical coder and medical records auditor, and more recently a healthcare trainer.  She has provided education and support to physicians, medical residents and medical office staff.  Her topics range from HCC, HEDIS and PCMH and related incentive-based programs to HIPAA and health care compliance.

Marisa will discuss the following:

  • Code Updates, 360 additions, 144 deletions, and 226 revisions
  • Tabular, Index, GEMS
  • 2018 Coding Guidelines
  • 2018 Errata
  • 2018 POA Exempt Codes
  • Identifying potential documentation needs
  • Understanding the code change rationale
